Life is confusing…
Some people vouch that focused training from childhood is the best way for a child’s development… while others believe in letting a child grow naturally enjoying his/her childhood… There are numerous case studies supporting each theory strongly – and hence there is no sure winner between both the contradictions at all…
When new knowledge is deduced about the universe, we confirm our hypothesis… and the more we confirm, the more we also confirm how much we do not know… how we keep realizing the limits of our intelligence and comprehension but yet do not stop at our efforts in pushing ourselves to just understand our world, our being and our purpose… That we cannot change the eventuality even if we become increasingly aware of it – does not stop our pursuits…
How there are multiple times more involuntary actions of the human body – right from the way we are conceived, built & structured and function every moment; compared to the conscious thinking we do in our lifetime… and how still we marvel and focus on the achievement of the conscious mind more than othe wonder and amazement of the unconscious or natures inventions…
There are quite a few sermons on living in the present… and yet there is an equally strong lobby that pushes planning about the future… one speaks about not thinking about the future, letting things go and seizing the present moment… other preaching about visualizing the future, planning in the present; de-risking with plan –b , insurance… And there are people who have suffered on both the extremes…
That one feels guilty of not being able to devote enough time to their parents or children at times… and feel equally over burdened or suffocated if they spend “too much” time at a stretch with them… that without a child most couples find their lives empty after a certain point in time… and with one it’s too much of a responsibility for many…
There are so many such instances which I can keep writing about… and the basis of it are – our mind… our desires, feelings and thought process… how it makes our life so simple in some moments… and what a vexed ball of issues in others…
But Life is what it is… worth living, worth experiencing… worth feeling… without the confusions and complexity, would it not be too boring for an evolved species like us? Enjoy the dichotomies and the confusions… that’s what makes life really interesting – giving us a purpose worth living…
