I recently made a trip to India… It made me rethink… Where is home…
My wife and kids are in Singapore… All my personal effects are in Singapore…
But my parents and sibling would be in India… I own my property in India… My closest friends and relatives are in India…
Where is home???
I guess depends on what home is…
Wiki defines it as a place of residence or dwelling… But that I think is definition of residence or a house…
Home is where you feel involuntary comfort… Where things in mind go on auto pilot… Where one feels oneself at ease and can be themselves…
So many people feel uneasy with their family… Then house is not their home… So many feel uneasy within their own dwelling when lonely… It’s still not home…
What defines home is where your heart is at ease…
For some people… They unfortunately have no ‘home’…
And for some reason to me… Mumbai… Even without my parents there… Even without my kids and wife there… Without my sibling… Without my personal effects… Felt like home…
